World Naked Gardening Day First Saturday in May

World Naked Gardening Day is celebrated every year on the first Saturday of May. It was founded and organized by Mark Storey and Jacob Gabriel as a project of the Body Freedom Collaborative Stories. The goal of the day is to celebrate clothes freedom and encourage people to garden in the nude.

World Naked Gardening Day is endorsed by the Naturist Society, Clothes Free International, and the American Association for Nude Recreation. These organizations support the concept of clothes freedom and advocate for body positivity.

The first annual World Naked Gardening Day took place on September 10th in 2005. However, the date was later changed to the first Saturday in May to accommodate different climates and ensure warmer weather for gardening.

Lyme disease is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. It is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks. Lyme disease can cause various symptoms, including fever, fatigue, headache, muscle and joint aches, and swollen lymph nodes. If left untreated, it can lead to more severe complications.

May is designated as Lyme Disease Awareness Month to raise awareness about the risk of Lyme disease and promote prevention measures. As people engage in outdoor activities, such as gardening, it is important to be vigilant and check for ticks, which can transmit Lyme disease. This month serves as a reminder to take precautions and educate oneself about the disease.
