In the raised bed box, the flowers planted were zinnias, Cosmos, and there were also two tree dahlias for wall coverage.

The soil was pre-soaked before planting because it was really dry, despite the appearance of wet mulch on top. Dipping a finger deeper into the soil revealed dryness.

After removing the dead tulip foliage from the pots, native Irish wildflower seeds were sown for added color, although they were sown late (in early June) and might not flower until the following year.

The pots with Dahlia tubers were too wet, so they were taken out and planted in the beds, which are preferred to be a bit drier. African Daisies were then planted in the pots, which had drainage holes, and some grit was mixed in to make the soil less soggy.

Mirrored vinyl was used to repair the mirrors by adhering it to the backboards where the glass had broken. It is uncertain how long this fix will last, whether it will endure the winter, or if the vinyl will peel off. It is considered a temporary experiment.

The bolted kale was left in the garden for the bees, as it was attracting them before the rain.

Some of the barrels will be used for planting wildflowers and other plants as part of a display in the front. One of the barrels may be painted for extra color. Some of the soil that was delivered will also be used for this purpose.
