The plan for the day is to first move the sheep from one pen to another and feed the animals, then head back up to the garden to do a little bit of planting.

The issue with using mobile sheep netting on the mountainside is that the undulation of the ground makes it difficult to use, and it easily grounds out on grass and sticks, causing the fence to lose its electrified aspect and not keep the sheep contained.

The approach now is to roll up the mobile sheep netting and use it as a barrier when transferring the animals to contain them better, as the electrified fence is not effectively keeping them in.

Something has been eating the heads off of almost every single one of the sunflower seedlings that popped up in the greenhouse.

The plan for the kale seeds is to plant each little biodegradable cube, along with the cardboard, directly into the ground under one of the little cold frames in the garden bed with the spinach and lettuce.

Mike and Liz planted potatoes in two of the garden beds and also planted several rows of little finger carrots.

They have electrified the bottom wire of the fence, but the baby ram continues to escape. They are considering tightening the wires or using wire mesh fencing to contain the lambs better.
