Gardening Basics : How to Plant Seeds for a Home Herb Garden

🌱 Planting seeds for a home herb garden is easy and can be done using lightweight seedling and cutting mix.

✋ Water the soil before planting the seeds to ensure it is moist.

🌿 It is recommended to use compartmentalized dividers when starting seeds as it makes it easier to separate the plants and allows them to stay in the pot longer.

🌡️ Basil is an easy herb to grow, but it cannot tolerate cold temperatures and should only be put outside when nighttime temperatures are reliably above 40 degrees.

🖐️ When sowing basil seeds, sprinkle just two or three seeds in each compartment, and lightly cover them with dry soil.
