You will need three colors of cotton yarn. The example uses light pink, dark pink, and a white beige color.

Approximately 25 grams of each color will be used if you are alternating two colors. If using one color for all granny squares, you may need more of that color and less of the others. Around 100 grams will be needed for the background.
