No, you should not dig wet ground as it can do more damage than good. If the ground sticks to the spade and your feet, it is too wet to dig.

Raised beds are originally thought of for people with bad backs or the older generation of gardeners. They need to be at least two and a half to three feet high, depending on the gardener's height.

The no-dig method can be expensive, especially if you have poor soil. It requires adding compost on top of the ground each year, which can add up in cost.
